Unplayed Art Competition

Unplayed Art has quite a bit of competition. This helped indicate the viability of the business, but also helps me see where I can fit in.

This page showcases the competition, and how Unplayed Art is differentiating from others. I expect some customers will actually find what they are looking for from some of these companies or people.

How to drive people to other companies and people, without losing potential interest in my products is an exciting challenge to face.

It's hard to ignore that LEGO® is both a supplier and competitor.

I will cover the details of this relationship in a blog.

LEGO

BuildaMOC is based in Spain with many different custom sets. They are able to gather the parts required, create the kits and instructions, and package it all into a custom set.

This business is great in that it's closer to the vision that I'm looking to get to.

Unplayed Art is different in that it is focussed only on pre-built home decorations and art.

Jbrick is based in the US, creating custom sets with a focus on the Jewish community.

This site offers both artwork and functional models.

As a niche, this business is similar to where Unplayed Art is starting out.

Brick.me is based in Australia, and is a platform that allows you to create a mosaic out of a photo.

As a platform this is really easy for the user to use, create their own mosaic online from a photo, and then when the bricks arrive can easily creat it themselves.

The bricks used are LEGO® compatible.

As artwork, this is a closer to where Unplayed Art operates, but I'm less focussed on mosaics. I intend using a larger variety of pieces and styles to incorporate texture.
